Over recent months, Predict By has been building the evidence base for SANGUINE’s communication packages, helping patients and healthcare professionals make informed decisions about the new HemaChip blood test.
To date, the team has completed 15 in-depth interviews and two focus groups with patients, hematologists, GPs and communication experts. Their input has been strikingly consistent and has directly shaped two draft communication strategies: a leaflet and a set of patient personas, and an information sheet for healthcare professionals.
Together with a science communication designer, the team has refined previous drafts of these communication materials, incorporating insights gathered from interviews and focus groups.
The work is now entering its final stage. The team is currently gathering expert feedback through a last round of interviews and a final focus group. The patient materials will then be tested with an online panel of 2,000 participants, comparing different versions to measure their effect on people’s willingness to take the test.
The preliminary results will be shared at the SANGUINE consortium meeting in Brussels this October, with the full study expected to be written up by the end of the year.
